J. David Fenwick


David’s practice involves civil litigation, employment law, telecommunications law and sports law.

David is married to Carrie Goodwin Fenwick, who is managing partner at Goodwin. They have three boys, John, Grant, and Abe, who are now all much older than they should be. As a recovering sports coach and dad, David enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, exercising, road and gravel cycling, and a modest amount of traveling.

Representing clients in various civil litigation throughout West Virginia’s state and federal courts including business disputes, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage and mass or complex litigation cases

Representing employers in employment law litigation before State and Federal Courts, and also the WVHRC and EEOC

Counseling employers on employment law compliance, including workplace policies and practices, EEOC/discrimination laws, drug testing, sexual harassment, wage & hour issues, disability issues and leave of absence issues

Drafting employment contracts, policies and handbooks
